First home buyers in New South Wales

Under the First Home Buyers Assistance Scheme there is no duty on a new or existing home worth up to $800,000, or on vacant land worth up to $350,000. Duty then reduces on a sliding scale up to $1,000,000 for homes and $450,000 for land. You and your partner must never have owned residential property in Australia and must live in the home for 12 continuous months.
